UX@School ambassador training in Sofia was a pivotal moment for digital education in Europe. Hosted from April 28 to May 2, 2025, this Erasmus+ training brought together 13 educators from five different countries. The goal: to explore how user experience (UX) design can reshape the way we build learning environments in secondary schools.
Organized by Budakov Films and coordinated by Learnable, the event took place at the Private High School “Educational Technologies” in Sofia. Participants engaged with the MOOC developed by the UX@School project and tested tools like the Online Assessment System and the UX Handbook.
A European Collaboration for Smarter Learning
Educators from Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Greece, and Belgium joined forces to bridge theory and practice. The UX@School ambassador training in Sofia included hands-on sessions, peer feedback, and testing of inclusive materials with real students. Moreover, the event showed how feedback loops can enhance digital tools to meet the needs of all learners.
Among the participating institutions were:
- Akoe Educació (Spain), a cooperative of schools with a strong commitment to innovation and values.
- IED (Greece), known for its experience in Erasmus Projects.
- Polo3 (Italy), a public school invested in inclusive strategies.
- Raseiniai Saltinis Progymnasium (Lithuania), which promotes ICT in education.
- Budakov Films (Bulgaria), leader of the national dissemination event in Sofia.
- Learnable (Italy) Coordinator of the project.

These partners collaborated to refine learning resources and explored how UX principles can enhance student engagement.
Why UX Matters in Education
UX is not just for websites. In fact, when applied to education, it helps design better interfaces, more accessible content, and more inclusive classrooms. This idea is at the core of UX@School.eu, the official project site.
Thanks to practical tools like the Online Tracking System, teachers can now gather student feedback on lesson design and usability. Consequently, students feel heard, and teachers can adapt quickly. It’s a win-win for modern education.

Becoming a UX@School Ambassador
One of the final sessions was titled How to Become a UX@School Ambassador. This workshop focused on media strategies, dissemination tools, and digital communication using platforms like Meta Business Suite.
Participants also learned to organize their own UX-related events. Therefore, they left empowered not just as learners but as changemakers in their schools and communities.
